Talk to a learned person

I firmly believe in the concept that talking to a wise man is better than reading a book. We get to know more about the particular thing which we want to know. Though a person cannot explain everything in detail, you can generally know what the whole thing is all about. In a book, we can learn about a particular thing but that is not the case when talking to a learned person. With the learned person, you can learn a lot of new things and you can also get their perspective of the matter as well. On the other day,I met a person and came to know about mesothelioma, which is about a deadly cancer and it can be caused by just inhaling asbestos fibers.

I did know about this until I met that person and I am sure that I could not have come across this if I had been reading a book sitting at home. I am not saying that reading a book is not of no use but having a conversation with a wise man is more efficient in gaining knowledge.
